So I have been Busy...

and have not posted on here in a looooong time. But I have been making stuff and a lot of it as it got closer to Christmas. I had this insane idea that I could make most of my gifts this year and I did make a lot of it. But really making everything is crazy; it takes a lot of time and means you will miss out on some of the fun parts of the holiday. I think I will either start preparing for next year now or just be a little more realistic :)

Here is some of what I made! I will post the rest of it later ;)

More Birthday gifts!!

Here are the gifts I made for the party we went to this weekend.

I love making girly stuff! This is the princess crown. Fuzzy fleece is fun but it sure is messy!

Other things...

Here are a few other things I have made lately.

This is the rest of the birthday present from a previous post. It is a travel crayon holder. I made Trevor one too out of the green bug fabric I used for his school stuff. They are cute and very handy!

Back to School...Back to Craft!

Well after some time off for the family vacation crafting had to start full force again since Trevor started preschool Monday and needed a bunch of stuff for class. He needed a matching set with a placemat, napkin, drawstring bag, and apron. He also needed some slippers for in the classroom. So here is the set I made him:

Here are the slipper/shoes. They are like the leather baby shoes you see a lot. I made them from a thrifted leather skirt and a free pattern I found online :)

I think they turned out pretty good considering they are the first pair of shoes I have ever made.

Half of a birthday gift..

for a great friend of Trevor's. I made him model it even thought (in his words) he is not a girl!

It turned out to be an even cuter smock than I thought. I am going to make her a crayon holder to go with it but I have no velcro so I guess that is put on hold till tomorrow!

Pants and Project Runway...

I can't tell you how excited I am for the new season of Project Runway to start tonight! It looks like it will be so much better than last season. While watching the countdown to the runway last night I even made myself (gasp!) a new pair of pants. I will try to get a pic of them up later they are still waiting for a hem. While waiting please enjoy this wonderful video!

Trevor is 3 1/2!

as of last Saturday that is. So since he has been itching for another birthday party we decided to celebrate his half birthday. I made him a carrot cake with a chocolate Thomas for the topper. He enjoyed it so I guess it was worth all the crap I got for celebrating a half birthday :)

Jewelry!

Here is some jewelry I have made recently.

The first bracelet was for Christmas. It has Christmas charms with red, green, and clear glass beads.

This bracelet means a lot to me because I made all the colored glass beads myself. I made them in a lampworking class at the Mesa Art Center. It was so much fun, I would recommend it to anyone. There classes are wonderful!

The last two are a necklace I made for myself :) and a bracelet that was a birthday present for a friend.
